Okinawa YWCA Letter of Protest against the Incidents of Object Fall from US Large Transport Helicopter CH53E belonging to Futenma Air Base
Okinawa YWCA has issued a statement protesting the recent incidents in which objects repeatedly fell from U.;S. helicopters onto schools, posing life-risking danger on children and indicating lack of respect for the lives of people in Okinawa. The YWCA of Japan fully supports this statement.

The letter points out that institutions and organizations promoting nuclear power have been allowed to engage in lobbying activities including exhibition booths, under the guise of “grassroots initiative”, and requests the presidency and secretariat of COP 23 to avoid the same happening in future conferences.
