Join Us for a CSW69 Parallel Event!

The YWCA of Japan, in cooperation with the National YWCA of Korea, invites you to a CSW69 Parallel Event to explore the realities of life near U.S. military bases in Japan, with a particular focus on cases in Okinawa.

📢 UNDER THREAT: LIFE NEAR U.S. MILITARY BASES IN JAPAN

📅 Date: March 13 (Thursday)

⏰ Time: 12:30 – 2:00 PM

📍 Venue: Salvation Army Auditorium, 221 E 52nd St, New York, NY 10022

This event will highlight the social, environmental, and human rights challenges faced by local communities, especially women and children, in military base-hosting areas. Okinawa, home to the majority of U.S. military bases in Japan, continues to experience unique and pressing issues that deserve international attention.

Join us to listen, learn, and engage in discussions on the impact of military presence and the efforts toward a more just and peaceful society.

🔹 Let’s stand together for change! 🔹

We look forward to seeing you there!
